What happens to my Fiber7 connection if I move to a new address?

Fiber7 is not available at every location. So there are different possibilities if you move:

Moving from Fiber7 to Fiber7 or from No Fiber7 to Fiber7

(1/1 Gbit/sec download/upload)

  • Delivery time: 2-4 weeks if OTO socket is available, 4-8 weeks if OTO socket is not available
  • Setup fee (additional costs incurred for the network operator): CHF 155
  • A new contract period of 12 months begins at the new location (new invoice)
  • You will receive a credit note for the remaining period at your old place of residence
  • If the subscriber wants the two services to overlap, they shall be charged accordingly

Moving from Fiber7 to No Fiber7

If you are moving to a place where Fiber7 is not available, the service can be migrated to a No Fiber7 service (Crossover7, Hybrid7, Copper7).

Crossover7

(1/1 Gbit/sec download/upload)

  • Delivery time for Crossover7: 2-4 weeks if OTO socket is available, 4-8 weeks if OTO socket is not available
  • Setup fee: none
  • A new contract period of 12 months begins at the new location (new invoice)
  • You will receive a credit note for the remaining period at your old place of residence
  • If the subscriber wants the two services to overlap, they shall be charged accordingly

Hybrid7

(1/1 Gbit/sec download/upload)

  • Delivery time for Hybrid7: 2-4 weeks if OTO socket is available, 4-8 weeks if OTO socket is not available
  • Setup fee: none
  • A new contract period of 12 months begins at the new location (new invoice)
  • You will receive a credit note for the remaining period at your old place of residence
  • If the subscriber wants the two services to overlap, they shall be charged accordingly
  • Depending on the technical requirements of your existing hardware, you may need a new router. The Fritzbox 5490 is still compatible

Copper7

(bandwidth varies according to the technical requirements)

  • Delivery time for Copper7: 5-7 working days
  • Setup fee: none
  • In-home installation: by an electrician at the customer’s expense (not included in the Init7 service)
  • Depending on your existing hardware’s technical requirements, you may need a new router (we are more than happy to advise you)
  • A new contract period of 12 months begins at the new location (new invoice)
  • You will receive a credit note for the remaining period at your old place of residence
  • If the subscriber wants the two services to overlap, they shall be charged accordingly
  • The exact technical specifications can be found here

The broadband for the available service depends on the technical possibilities. If you would like to do without the alternative service at the new location, we ask that you follow the proper cancellation procedure (two-month notice period to the end of the contractual period). Payments which have already been made are not refunded (Exception: move abroad, death, change of subscriber).

Change of subscriber

The existing service can also be transferred to a new tenant (change of subscriber). In this case, a new contractual relationship starts with the new tenant (minimum contract duration: 12 months). Payments which have already been made will be credited to the old subscriber.
