How can I improve my Wi-Fi connection with Zyxel?

Applies to models AX7501, EE5301 and PE5301

1 Log in

1. Open a web browser (Firefox, Safari, Chrome).
2. Enter 192.168.1.1.
3. Log in with the password on the router. You will find the default password on the back of the router.

2 Activate or update auto channel

1. Click on «Menu».
2. In the «Network Setting» menu, click on «Wireless» «MESH».
3. Deactivate the «MPro Mesh» option.
4. Click on «Apply» to apply the setting.

3 Disconnect the frequency band

1. Return to the «Connection Status» overview page.
2. Click on «WiFi Settings».
3. Deactivate «Keep 2.4G and 5G the same».
4. Activate «2.4G WiFi» and «5G WiFi».
5. Enter a different name in the «WiFi Name» field so that you can distinguish the 5 GHz wireless network from the 2.4 GHz wireless network in future.
6. Click on «Save» to save the settings.
7. If compatible, please connect the devices to the 5 GHz WiFi.
