As an Internet provider, we have the right to manage the infrastructure ourselves as much as possible, as this is the only way we can fulfil our quality standards. Therefore, we have already set up around 158 PoPs (as of May 2018). With these, we are already able to actuate around 90% of the Swiss fibre optic ports (FTTH), and the construction of further PoPs is underway.
Moreover, we operate around 40 so-called IP PoPs in Switzerland, Europe and the USA. At these PoP sites we operate our own router and connect our infrastructure with other Internet and content providers (this is known as peering).
